Narpan (ENGLISH)

NARPAN is a site devoted to Medieval culture and literature, coordinated by Sadurní Martí and Miriam Cabré.

Since its launch in June 2003, it has given access to the research materials of the Grup SGR de Cultura i Literatura a la Baixa Edat Mitjana (2001-00286), a research team led by Lola Badia, whose active members are mostly working in the Universitat de Barcelona, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Universitat de Girona.

The site has the following sections:

triangle blauQui som: A list of members, which encompasses lecturers, researchers and PhD students. A brief cv and a list of publications is included for each member.

triangle blauRecerca: It will include details of the research history of the group.

triangle blauMaterials: It will offer research materials of the group that complement printed publications.

triangle blauMot so razo: Link to the home page of MSR, a journal on medieval studies co-edited with the Centre d'Estudis Trobadorescos (Castelló d'Empúries). The page contains the table of contents of each issue, and an order form.

triangle blauLlull, Eiximenis, Cerverí de Girona, Cançoners Catalans are monographic pages on some of the main research lines of the group. Each offers a brief introduction to the field and to the materials offered within Narpan, as well as recommended external links.

  • The Ramon Llull page links to the Llull DB, a database on Llull's works and their transmission, already well developed, which also offers a regularly updated bibliography. Llull DB has an English version.
  • The Francesc Eiximenis page is an introduction to the life and works of this fourteenth-century Franciscan encyclopedist. It is the nucleus of a forthcoming Eiximenis DB.
  • The Cerverí de Girona page offers an introduction to this thirteenth-century troubadour, an on-going bibliography and will be the site of the forthcoming electronic publication of his works. It will be linked to the troubadour database Rialto.
  • The Cançoners Catalans page is devoted to medieval Catalan chansonniers. It will be developed as the Cançoners DB, with diplomatic edition, image and codicological description of each chansonnier, starting with the Catalan chansonniers cointaining Occitan lyrics. It will also be linked to the European lyric database Bibliografia Elettronica dei Trovatori (BEdT).

triangle blauBiblioteca electrònica: Full-text electronic versions of articles by members of the group plus electronic editions of texts relevant to the main research lines.
